Cosmic projects
The demanding defectoscopy procedure of the input semi-finished products is not the only hi-tech step in the entire chain of manufacturing operations for the cosmic programmes of Ariane 5 type. We treat the individual orders with great respect with the awareness that even the slightest deviation of the products may have fatal consequences with economic impacts worth millions.
C.S.O. also had the honour to participate in the J-Boom project, which a scientific programme for the satellite sent to Jupiter. C.S.O. participated in the manufacture of the Titanium components to which the boom of total length 3.5 m was attached. The task of the satellite was measurement of the magnetic field of Jupiter.
