Civil aircraft: lighting systems
Each civil aircraft contains hundreds to thousands of light sources and warning elements, for instance, for evacuation purposes. Currently, the larger share of the lighting is based on LED technology, which is favourable for application in the aircraft because of size and consumption. C.S.O. is the supplier of various types of mechanical components that are turned or milled, whose visible surfaces must be absolutely perfect.
A narrow area in this segment comprises the cockpit lighting units with integrated dimming. Thus the parts of the cockpit that do not contain so-called glass instruments that could be illegible to the pilot due to the LED light are illuminated. The rest of the control element zones are fully lighted.
For a very narrow circle of customers, the company orders components including the gold or silver plating.
