C.S.O. has a separate division for assembly operations, where we make production units from individual components. Apart from the more common assembly using screws, C.S.O. also uses rivets and adhesives. The company gradually also implemented the method for manufacture of composite systems that cannot be disassembled. The company uses liquid nitrogen and an industrial oven in this process. The manufacturing tolerances are designed in such a manner that upon reaching the temperature in the environment (meaning the nitrogen cooling temperature minus 180°C and temperature plus 250°C in the oven), it is possible to loosely place both components on each other and upon balancing of the temperature the unit behaves like a unit made of one piece.
Since riveting and gluing are considered as a special process, the procedures of special processes have been documented including the laboratory results for simulation of an OK joint and a NOK joint.
Apart from the above-stated operations, C.S.O. also normally installs Helicoil inserts, various connectors, etc. The absolute majority of these units are supplied to external coating shops – both powder-coating and wet-coating shops.
